How NewPrompt uses cookies and storage
NewPrompt is a project execution platform, and it uses only a small amount of cookies and browser storage: to keep the platform working, to remember your choices, and — only if you allow it — to measure usage with Google Analytics. The categories below describe what is used today and what will be added as the Workspace member layer is introduced.
Essential storage
Essential storage is used to remember whether you accepted or declined analytics cookies and to keep the platform functioning correctly. This prevents the cookie banner from appearing on every page load and helps us respect your choice. Essential storage does not require consent, because the platform cannot work properly without it.
Functional and preference storage
Some features store information locally in your browser to improve your experience — for example your recent activity, your progress through a Project Advisor or workflow journey, and the working state of a tool you are using. This functional storage stays on your device, is not sent to NewPrompt servers, and can be cleared through your browser settings.
Analytics cookies
If you accept analytics cookies, NewPrompt may load Google Analytics to understand aggregated usage patterns — such as which pages, tools, workflows, and projects are used, device and browser categories, approximate region, and referral sources.
Analytics cookies are optional. If you decline them, NewPrompt will still work normally.
Internal usage counts
Separately from Google Analytics, NewPrompt may keep aggregate, non-identifying usage counts — such as page views and tool views — to understand which parts of the site are used. These internal counts do not set cookies and do not use browser storage, and they do not identify visitors or store search queries, advisor goals, tool inputs, tool outputs, IP addresses, or user-agent strings.
Advertising cookies
NewPrompt does not currently use advertising cookies or advertising networks.
Accounts and session cookies (future)
NewPrompt is developing Workspace, a member layer that will require signing in. When it launches, the platform will use essential session and authentication cookies for signed-in members — to keep them logged in and to secure their accounts. These are not used today, and this policy will be updated to describe them before Workspace becomes available.
Change your choice
You can update your analytics cookie preference at any time using the button below. Your browser may also let you delete cookies and local storage directly from browser settings.
